Had a really good weekend this week (10/8/24 to 11/8/24).

Saturday I went to my daughters (Haley) place, I took her and her mother to Elizabeth shopping centre, I bought Haley a pink Asic Hoodie and a pair of Nike sneakers, we then had lunch at a little chinese restaurant just outside the shopping centre.

From here we went to the Gawler Psychic Fair, to be honest this was more of a flop than anything, I sat down with a woman for a reading, she claimed to be a medium, she was about as much of a medium as myself, told me how exciting things are for me at work and my life is going so well. I honestly felt like laughing at her and getting up and walking off but i am to polite, I suffered through her talking complete nonsense for 20 minutes and then gave her the $60 for the reading, I could have given that $60 to some homleless person and gotten a reading from a neighbourhood cat and it would have been better.

We then headed back to Haley’s place and played some Pop n Hop and had a coffee.

For dinner we went to the Bridgeway Hotel, the food was pretty good, I had Brisket which I normally would not order, I figured I should try something different, it was pretty good, Haley had a steak and it was very good, for desert I ordered Bread and Butter pudding, last time I had this would havbe been 30 years earlier, this one was nothing like I remembered, it was not very nice, Haley had Apple Crumble with Butterscotch and that was really nice. After dinner we headed back to Haley’s to play some more Pop n Hop, on the way we grabbed a cinnamon donut.

On Sunday I woke up and as usual was instantly depressed, I am really struggling with not having my family anymore, not seeing my daughter daily really sucks, I decided to go to Elizabeth Shopping Centre and bought Haley another Asic hoodie, I have last week bought her a Green one but it was a size 8 and a tad tight so I got her another Green one in a size 10, whilst here I went to BigW to buy another board game and came across Monopoly Harry Potter, knowing Haley is a big Harry Potter fan I thought she would like that. I purchased it and headed out to give it to Haley.

I felt a little out of place upon arrival, I was here only yesterday and it is afterall my exwifes place.

Olivia went into Haley’s room to wake her up to let her know I was here and she came out saying she was about to text me and see if I wanted to come over, I was really relieved with that, I stopped feeling like I was out of place, I gave Haley her new hoodie and board game, she seemed to like it lol.

We played a game of monopoly and then got some hot chips for lunch, as usual Haley won the game, she tends to win most games we play 🙂

I came home around 3pm and watched the Crows play the Western Bulldogs, luckily the Crows won. 🙂

Sadly before bed I was talking to Haley over text and she told me she was a little sad and unpset, she has a bunch of things getting to her, her boyfriend, school, still dealing with the family break up.

I wish I could make things better for her but to be honest I know how she feels, I am still having large parts of my day where I simply do not want to go on, I just miss my family so much, I really do not see any future, in fact I am 100% sure without Haley I would not bother. I tried to be supportive for her but I also know at the end of it all you can be supportive but that does not make it better for the person who is upset, there really is very little you can do, going out and doing things helps but that can be costly and typically being a loser I do not have a lot of money, living on your own or even sharing a house with someone is not the same as sharing with a partner.

I really only look forward to seeing Haley and outside that I walk a lot because there is nothing else to do.
